Doctors KNIPE and MOSKOWITZ remind you that an unusual appearing mole could be a MELANOMA, a dangerous form of skin cancer.
Evaluating your moles every one to two months is an appropriate time frame to see if any have changed in size, color, shape or if any other irregularity has developed. The A-B-C-D-E's of MELANOMA are a good way of evaluating suspicious moles.
"A" stands for Asymmetry, "B" stands for borders. "C" stands for color, "D" for diameter and "E" stands for evolution. Please keep these in mind when examining your moles. We can help with the removal of moles.
